GED Preparation Classes

  • Preparation for the five parts of the General Educational Development Test. Students in this class are seeking to earn a GED Certificate of Completion.
  • FREE classes on Monday and Thursday evenings, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  Individualized help from 8:00 to 8:30.  Monday classes focus on language arts skills; Thursday classes focus on math.
  • Classes meet from September through May at Keene High School.
  • Adult Learner Services tutorials; days or evenings; some in outlying towns.
  • Open enrollment – Learners can start anytime with pre-registration/enrollment.

How to Enroll for classes or tutorials—2 options:

  1. Take the Practice GED exam.  Based on scores, candidates will be advised to either take the Official GED or start attending GED Prep classes or tutorials.  The Community Education GED Examiner will notify all Practice GED test-takers of their scores.  If you are advised to participate in GED Prep classes, you will meet briefly an Adult Education Counselor for a required assessment and to set individual goals, then start class.
  2. If you are interested in a small group tutorial option, contact Adult Learner Services Coordinator and GED Examiner Katie Delaney at (603) 357-9041 or send an e-mail: kdelaney@sau29.org.  Call Katie if you feel certain you need the classroom preparation and would prefer to take the Practice GED at a later date.
