GED® EXAMINER

The GED Examiner maintains test integrity, provides equal opportunity for success to all candidates, and ensures quality documentation.

Requires bachelor's degree plus education experience OR associate's degree plus three (3) years education experience.

Tests are conducted at 438 Washington Street, Keene, New Hampshire.  Materials are stored in security and handled according to General Educational Development Testing Service protocol.  GED Chief Examiner, Katie Delaney, is on duty at the same location.

Compensation is $15/hour, based on 8-hour monthly sessions ($120 for two-day session).

Training is provided by the New Hampshire GED Administrator and the Keene Center GED Chief Examiner.

The required annual NH GED Examiners' meeting this year will be Thursday, October 30, 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM in Concord.

QUALIFICATIONS
GED Examiners must have a bachelor's degree from a nationally accredited college or university and experience in teaching, training, counseling or testing, or at least an associate's degree from a nationally accredited community college and three years of experience in teaching, training, counseling or testing.

TRAINING

Jurisdictional agencies shall ensure the provision of (1) training for all new... GED Examiners prior to their first test administration sessions, and (2) at least one annual training session for all Examiners. 

The New Hampshire GED Administrator must verify the qualifications of each GED Examiner.  Newly appointed Examiners shall receive in-service training and shall serve under either an experinced Examiner or the GED Administrator during at least two full GED testing sessions before assuming duties as Examiner.
